$ 51.48

Availability: 100 in stock
  • Condition: Good-Very Good overall vint cond: For sale is this very nice vint pc of mid-20th c California art pottery produced in the late 1960's by the ceramic art firm 'California Pottery/Pacific Stoneware.' It feats a little blond-haired girl w/her eyes closed & smiling, set atop an inverted terracotta ceramic lt blue glazed flower pot. This pc is a sympathetic, cheery pc of figurative American Modernist ceramic art & may not be for the 'doom & gloom,' decidedly pessimistic, cynical crowd, where the glass is always 'half-empty,' the sky is falling & these are apocalyptic 'end times.' That potential horror set aside, this yes, super cutie-pie, little wind chime, is sweet, airy, optimistic & beautiful, perhaps a timely response to the plethora of trials & tribulations we're all now facing as a nation & as a global community. The girl's flat, slab-constructed face is detailed w/sgraffito mark-making. Her curled, pixie-cut blond hair is a bright, vivid yellow. Sepia defines her eyes. Missing chime.
