Vintage California Pottery Gold Bird On Flower Trinket Dish Stewart Mcculloch

From my aunt's estate in Wisconsin this Vintage Stewart Mcculloch California Pottery Gold Bird on a Purple and Brown Flower Trinket Dish.
I think it is a dogwood flower but I am not sure. The flower is 5" across and it stands 2.5" high. There is a tiny chip of the glaze on the gold rim.
