Vintage Gorham Silverplate Holloware Covered Butter Dish, 1950s Mid Century Modern Design
Circa: 1950s or 1960s
Maker's mark on the back reads "Gorham" with an Anchor icon and the Manufacturer's number "YC775."
Gorham was founded in Rhode Island in 1831 by Jabez Gorham, a master craftsman, and throughout its history hired highly skilled designers and workers, including such notables as George Wilkinson and William C. Codman. The White House has used Gorham items during many administrations. Gorham recently has been owned by Lenox.

Has glass butter dish insert to hold butter- removable/washable
Terrific vintage condition. Some light surface scratches. If desired you could polish it to be as new and shiny as the inside. The silver tarnish is a sign of age.
This vintage covered silverplate butter dish is in good pre-owned condition. No chips or cracks in the glass butter holder, no dents in the silverplate. Please see photos to appreciate condition. Ships within one business day of purchase!
